Providing education for children and adults in Milwaukee
Providing disadvantaged children the chance for academic achievement is one of our primary goals at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. To help them, we offer EQUIP tutoring and other educational programs through Joy House, our program for homeless mothers and children. We are always in search of tutors!
In addition, our CrossTrainers Academy offers K-4th classes in a supportive Christian environment, and a fifth grade class will be added for the 2009-2010 school year. We aim to help those children break the cycle of poverty and excel academically, while leading Christ-centered lives.
Additionally, we place a high value on learning and mentoring for our adult program participants. Training, mentoring and continuing education focus on academic skills, parenting, financial know-how, and life skills.
