Respect—for each individual's dignity and worth. "Show proper respect to everyone; Love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king." I Peter 2:17

Education—to prepare each person for meaningful life change. "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say 'No' to worldly passions… and to live self-controlled, upright lives." Titus 2:10-11

 

Stability—to give people a foundation on which they can build productive lives. "Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order that they may provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives." Titus 3:14

 

Compassion—expressed by providing supportive care for the homeless and poor. "Be kind and compassionate to one another. . . " Ephesians 4:32

 

Urban—focus applied to the unique social needs of the city, its people, and communities. "Should I not be concerned for that great city?" Jonah 4:11

 

Evangelism—through proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus. "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised the third day. . . " I Corinthians 15:3-4
