EQUIP Program provides tutoring and support to community families
The Joy House Equip Program is a family resource for mothers and children residing in Joy House and living in the neighboring community. The goal of Equip is to help build strong families by providing the resources necessary to help them move past poverty to self-sufficiency. Your support of this program ensures that these families will be taught life skills and given real opportunities to learn and grow together in a healthy way. Families who participate in Equip receive:
- Training in parenting, money management, computer literacy, health, nutrition, etc.
- Help navigating through difficult situations regarding employment, childcare, housing, legal matters, healthcare and other critical issues
- After-school tutoring for children
- Food baskets and nutritious meals for those in our program
- Field trips to local venues
- Mentor relationships
