Your support on February 11th can help us raise awareness about the problem of homelessness faced by hundreds of men, women and children in Milwaukee every night. And, your support will help us raise funds to expand our shelter to include women without children.
In addition to serving men since 1893, for the past 25 years, we have served women with children, but now we want to expand our services to include women without children who are in need. Your participation in our Walk A Mile event will help raise funds for additional shelter beds here at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission for women without children.
Bring some friends or family with you, and show men, women and children who are homeless in our community how much you care. The money you raise will kick-start our efforts to expand our shelter to include unaccompanied homeless women, providing them with safe, warm shelter, hot meals and the chance at a fresh start. Your partnership with us will bring attention to this great need in our city.
Online registration is closed at this time, but any walk-ins will be more than welcome.
The walk begins at 8:30 am from our Main Campus at 830 N. 19th St. Groups will leave for the mile-long route every half hour, with the last group leaving to walk at 10:30 am. When groups return, there will be tours and light refreshments available.
